Welcome to Jacksonville Centre of The Arts.
Isadora Duncan said, “The only power that can
satisfactorily guide the child’s body is the inspiration of the soul”.
As Founder/Executive Director of Jacksonville Centre of the Arts
Pre-Professional School and Company and Owner/Director of Northside
Center of the Arts recreational Program, our team of instructors are
committed to conveying the meaning of this quote and believe that
attention must not be given to drilling patterns and movements, but to
the cultivation of the soul through the art. The emphasis is to teach
technique to the mind and body.
This web site has been designed as a tool for you to learn more about
us, what we offer an how we are meeting the needs for classical,
cultural and contemporary art in Jacksonville.
The
program is an educational cycle that begins at an early age and advances
students throughout their training, advancement and career choice.
Northside Center of the Arts is our Recreational program celebrating our
seventh year of success was developed to introduce and develop students
from age three through adult in the art of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern,
Hip-Hop, Modeling/Etiquette, and Pageantry.
The advanced student Jacksonville Centre of the Arts was created as an
intense training program in Classical and Contemporary Ballet, Tap,
Jazz, Modern, West-African and Theatre. We focus all efforts on meeting
the demands for the Pre-professional student who has chosen to seek
professional opportunities in the Fine Arts. We look forward to being
your artistic outlet.
